The 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak is having negative effects on global human health, well-being, production, life, social functioning and international relations. This article proposed an integrated framework to analyze COVID-19 at the city level of China using multi-source data to combat COVID-19, which can provide useful information to offer rapid visualization of spatio epidemic information. -temporal and identify potential factors. Specifically, a new method of vitalization, called a dot grid map, is integrated with a calendar-based visualization to show the spatio-temporal variations of COVID-19. The combination of geographically mixed weighted regression and eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) is used to identify potential factors and the corresponding importance. This article emphasizes the power of visualization and the analytical method. The results reveal that the most effective way to control and defeat COVID-19 is to control the source of the infection, cut off the route of transmission, and protect vulnerable groups.
