BAY SHORE, NY, July 15, 2021 / PRNewswire-PRWeb / – IPVideo Corporation was selected as the winner of the MVP SSI 2021 award in the fire safety and personal safety category for the new version 2.2 of the functionalities of the HALO smart sensor. The rewards program rewards products that have a substantial impact on integrators based on their innovation, functionality and competitive advantage.

The HALO smart sensor is an all-in-one device that includes vape and THC detection, gunshot detection, privacy zone security with keywords and sound alerts, chemical detection , air quality monitoring and a smart building manager. Our latest award-winning new firmware 2.2 features included indoor air quality monitoring, BACnet integration to trigger facility environmental changes, and cleaning chemical signature verification, all to help combat the COVID-19 and the spread of airborne infectious diseases.

Poor indoor air quality and air filtration are of great concern for the return to work and school. HALO will now monitor and send alerts based on Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) measurements and report the Air Quality Index (AQI), based on EPA’s regulated standards for the environment interior. HALO will identify if the environment is within the danger zone for disease spread at the location of each sensor.

Integration with BACnet will enable communication of building automation and control systems for applications such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) control, lighting control, building control access and fire detection systems and their associated equipment. HALO alerts and sensor readings can now communicate with these various control systems to process and make improvements in response to alerts received.

In addition to standard chemical detection, an additional health and safety measure in HALO 2.2 is the recognition of cleaning chemical signatures. You can now monitor, record and validate when specific locations have been sanitized to ensure safety.

Additional security features have been added in 2.2, including certified shot detection with two-factor authentication and 360-degree range and additional emergency keywords have been added for voice alerts.

All these new features are available for download via the new Firmware 2.2 at no additional cost!

“These new features are a game-changer for a healthy return to indoor facilities,” says Rick Cadiz, vice president of sales and marketing. “We are constantly looking to bring new features to better protect our customers and citizens and I am very happy that we were able to include these new air quality monitoring features at no additional cost to our customers.”
