Peter Beaumont of The Guardian in Lviv talks about a confrontation between an elderly resident of Melitopol and Russian soldiers.

The Russians claimed to have taken the coastal town today and – although still unconfirmed – this incident suggests that even some Russian residents are not very happy to see them.

This is what he told the soldiers: “The Russians invading Ukraine, it’s so screwed up! What are you doing here? We have our life and you have yours. I am Russian too, but I live in this country.

“You have your own country and we have ours. You don’t have any problems in your own country? Are you all rich there? Shame on you!”

“What the hell are you doing here? I’m Russian too, but I live in this state. You have your country, we have ours. You have no problems to solve in your country? You are all rich there, like in the Emirates? You’re just puppets”
