VaxCertPH now recognized in Europe — DFA

The Philippines vaccination certificate, VaxCertPH, is now recognized in European countries as proof of vaccination against Covid-19.

According to the Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA), VaxCertPH is now recognized by the European Union’s Covid-10 Digital Certificate System (EU DCC) for use in all of its member states or within the European community.

Likewise, those with the EU DCC can be recognized and verified upon entering Philippine ports.

DFA said this became possible “after rigorous verification and validation undertaken by various Philippine government agencies, and after prior public confirmation undertaken by the EU committee responsible for EUDCC interoperability.”

For the agency, this “historic achievement” will ensure smooth, speedy and safe travel and mobility of Filipinos to and within the European community and other jurisdictions that subscribe to the EUDCC standard, which is made up of 48 countries and non-EU territories.

With its integration into the EU DCC, the VaxCertPH is now among the most widely recognized vaccination certificates in the world, the DFA said.

VaxCertPH is recognized in 94 countries and territories, he added.
